I wouldn't do the candles and music. That's a bit corny. Maybe turn on some music once you're both in there. As for the light or dark, that's really up to you. Sexy underware seems to always go over well though. Makes it seem like you are putting in the effort without being over the top.

Sexy underwear is a must, always makes me super confident if I'm in matching undies and confidence is sexy as.
Put on some music when you're upstairs, or a suggestive film. Put out the main light and use uplighters if you have any, or fairy lights. Make sure you relaxed and just go with the flow. x

Definitely sexy underwear, and do anything else that makes you feel sexy. I like using my favorite bodywash in the shower, shaving my legs (and "ladybits" lol), and wearing something I feel confident in. I would also second PatienceElizabeth's last bit of advice. Marinate that steak in either light Caesar or Italian dressing, for as long as possible (I do mine for 1 or days, if I can). Let it sit out of the fridge for at least a half hour before you cook it, so it's at room temperature before it gets cooked. Broil it 5 mins on each side. Serve it with some fried onion (fried in a pan with either butter or margarine, and a bit of salt and pepper).
