I have so much study and such to do! Anyway, quick post. Going to restrict this week, and try not to purge. I have uni, which will be lame. Bananas in Australia cost about $4 for a small one!!! So no bananas for me.

I'm whitening my teeth over the next two weeks. Results should be interesting.

As of tomorrow (Sunday, 1st) I will be sort of "dieting", with an aim to lose around 10 pounds by June 5th - my brother's 18th birthday.

14 things you need to know!
1. Your weight affects you in many other ways besides your appearance
Your overall quality of life
Self-esteem
Health
Depression
And physical abilities are also influenced
2. You should ask yourself these questions before starting your weight loss journey
Why do you want to lose weight?
Are you truly going to be committed to this?
Can you be strong enough to accept your mistakes without giving up?
3. To keep the weight off you will have to change these aspects for your life permanently:
What you eat
HOW you eat
Your behavior
Your activity level
4. NEVER set your goals too high. 30 pounds in 15 days is way to high. Start with a small weight loss goal and work your way up. This prevents disappointment and gives you the motivation to keep going because chances are you can reach a smaller goal. For example: 10 pounds in 1 month.
5. No matter how you look at it 3500 calories cut is 1 pound lost. Whether this be you take in 500 fewer or burn 500 a day- you will lose a pound by the end of the week.
6. Choose a diet plan CAREFULLY! Don’t pick one that has food you don’t like. Obviously that will be harder to stick to!
7. Always ask yourself “How long can I live this way?” If you can’t imagine doing it for long, switch plans.
8. You need to plan out a new strategy to cope with emotional eating. Instead of reaching for chips whenever you’re upset, find a new way to relieve that pain, frustration, stress, or even boredom!
9. Just know the dangers of being overweight are real.
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Cancer
Heart disease
10. Factors such as genetics, your environment, your job, stress levels, physical hindrances can all affect your weight loss. Keep that in mind so you can be prepared to plan how to fix anything that might get in your way!
11. Your goals need to be realistic. Kind of like stated in #4, but I’m referring to your ultimate goal. You need to take your bone structure, body type, height, and everything into consideration. If you’re 5’1 and short waisted, like me you will never have a body like Miranda Kerr. BUT you can have an amazing body and be fit, thin, healthy, and have muscle. If you’re 6 foot and have a longer torso, you won’t have Selena Gomez’s body. Be realistic, think of how amazing your body can look for it’s type. Either way anyone can look amazing :)
12. Don’t restrict yourself too much. That leads to binging. Pretty self explanatory.
13. Your weight can and most likely will fluctuate from day to day. Only weigh yourself once a week, before you eat anything, in the morning, after you go to the bathroom, naked. Do it the same day every week. That’s most likely your true weight. Never weigh yourself after you eat. There’s something called food weightguys.
14. Bottom line: Losing weight is not easy. It will not happen overnight. It will happen, just more slowly than we’d like. There’s no magic to weight loss. Just motivation and pushing yourself. That’s key. Just remember, you can do this if you put the work in. 1 year from now you’ll be so much healthier and fit.. IF YOU START NOW.
